Viewing How Different Items Can Be Packed

If you’d like to see the packing solution that Boxify calculated to provide the shipping rate on an order, go to the relevant order page, click on “More actions” at the top and choose “Packing Geometry” next to the Boxify icon. That will take you to Boxify’s Packing Geometry page for that order. You can then use the “Next” and “Previous” buttons to view each packing step. Clicking on the “Packing summary” button will show you a text summary of the solution.

If you are performing checkout tests and want to see the packing solutions on which Boxify based the rates it had provided, you don’t need to complete a test order. After you see rates displayed, go to the Boxify dashboard and click on the “Recent calculations” button. You will be shown a list of the last 10 packing calculations that the app performed for your shop.

Note that if you have configured carrier-specific packaging in the app or set it to display UPS Simple Rates, there may be multiple calculations shown for each set of shipping rates displayed at checkout. The additional calculations that consider sets of boxes other than the conventional boxes configured in the app are not counted toward a shop’s monthly tally, however.

Note that the Packing Geometry feature of Boxify requires a WebGL-capable browser to view. Almost any modern browser should work, but if you encounter difficulties viewing packing geometries, click here to test whether your browser supports WebGL. You may have to adjust your browser settings to get WebGL to render.
