Carriers impose limits on the sizes of boxes that can be shipped through regular package services. USPS, for example, sets a limit of 130 inches on the Length + Girth of a box. UPS and FedEx will ship boxes, though, that have a Length + Girth as high as 165 inches. For this reason, Boxify will not allow you to configure a product or shipping box that exceeds 165 inches in Length + Girth.
Note, though, that large boxes can be very expensive to ship. For one, large boxes have large dimensional weights. So that consideration alone could account for high shipping rates. And carriers also impose special oversize fees once the box exceeds certain thresholds. Those rules vary with each carrier, so consult your carrier’s website for specific information about fees that are added when a package exceeds a certain size.
